See now there is the difference. I have never had any type of alcohol. 20 years of age and not even a drop. oO But I like it that way.

well i suggest that if/when you do, take it easy the first time or you will make a complete ass out of yourself. i got drunk for the first time at age 12. my cousin and i stole a bottle of vodka from our grandpa, drank it (with hawaiian punch i believe), vomited, passed out, and left the bottle on the table. his mother, my aunt, was not happy when she came home from work.

Yes I don't plan on ever getting drunk. May have a drink while out with friends once I am of age but probably not even then. Just don't see it as appealing.

geez striping the bathrooms was so much fun....especially around the toliet areas......(I was also a janitor for the large auditorium at augie one summer...you want a big bathroom---its large enough to fit the whole orchestra inside--instruments and all!)....

alcohol, dad drank too...think I had my first sips before I knew what was going on in the world....and we used to have wine at meals on sundays....can remember those as far back as age 4 or 5...and my dad liked martinis...his version was a tiny cap of vermoth and about 12-14 oz of vodka...with an olive. My siblings and I got to make them for him, and we on occasion had to test them to make sure they we made correctly (and I liked and still do --olives...)....so I had alcohol at a very young age...

No I dont drink, I did some in college (the grandfather clause got me though---I was a few days too young)...I remember drinking a big male friend of my (named Thor---and yes he was swedish, and just as big as a red wood tree) under the table one time---
only got drunk once...that was on champaign for a friends birthday one of the bars would give you either a 2 for 1 or a small bottle of champaign, well he got off work late and by the time we got there the food was gone, and I had not eaten that day--so we drank the whole bottle between the 2 of us, felt fine--drove home, etc...went to bed-----woke up at about 2am in need of using the facilities....now if I hadnt had to pee I would have just slept the whole dang thing off-----
never have done that again, though a nice baileys every once in a while or a glass of wine with dinner----(and red wine aids in digestion so I usually drink wine with steak).....

sorry another novel....but got back from the doc appointment no more enlightened about my problem than before I went----though a few dollars poorer for the experience.

/sarcasm perhaps? I hate stripping the bathrooms... it's horrid.

A novel that I read. Drinking at the age of 4 or 5? DAng that is an early start. And a glass of red wine a day is actually good for you.

sadly, no. the earliest i could find was #687. "in general comic book movies are bad" i would tend to disagree with that one though.

Hmm, alcohol. Started drinking at 18 (British, y'see), got drunk on beer, whisky, vodka, pernod, absinth, JD, you name it - many, many times in my teens and twenties. Hated being drunk, but loved getting drunk.

After reaching 30 or so, I began to realise the damage alcohol was doing to those around me - my closest friend to whom going to the pub meant getting drunk. Always getting drunk; no one or two drinks -just get drunk as quick as possible. Then my cousin, a train driver whose addiction to alcohol nearly cost him his job until he eventually went on the wagon.

I'm now 45 and don't drink at all. I can drink - I had a quarter bottle of vodka at Christmas, and can happily down a pint of beer with a meal on rare occasions (never wine - can't stand the stuff.) I don't go to pubs, I don't get take outs from liquor stores. I just quit and never missed it.

Don't do it, kids. If you do do it, make sure it's in moderation.

Yeah, I know - wisdom from an old fart. I wouldn't have listened at your age either :/

On my way to work now... The new place I'm working at is only 1km further away from home, but it takes me 10-15mins longer to get there due 2 traffic, AND it's still school holidays - the roads are "quiet" >___< *eek!*

You americans are so tender about alcohol! (just kidding)

yeah i had my first beer around 4-5 also, my older brother at the age of 2... hehe, but that's what one gets for having a dad who likes alcohol and parties.

But, i don't understand the meaning of not ever trying to be high, or wasted.

my motto: I rather regret something i've done than regret not doing it.

Edit: Snograt, you're right there, but people do listen, they just don't want to follow the advice, and yeah getting drunk is the fun part, everybody loosens up a bit, talk some more, are not that shy and so on.

Still on alcohol... I haven't anything to add to that...

Off to work... get to strip the bathroom again... can't wait to be done with that chit.

it is for you, Pwned, but also every other, try things (don't try stupid things like heroine or death sports though) regretting something you haven't done is the worst feeling, believe me....

I've been saying this for years.

And I don't have a lot of regrets really... 'cept maybe for the time I wrote off my BMW four months after paying it off... *sigh* I still miss that car...

Regret is for awesome people. I regret almost putting a hole in my ceiling because I kept dying on this game because I made the same mistakes. I like being a rage.

Every one are Light weight compared to Canadian

Reasons why the canadian were not the best drinkers in Beer Fest was because the director could not picture them as the bad guys.
I enjoy my beer or 2 or3 on weekend ( Don't get drunk any more, haven't in a year and I'm 19)

If you are the type of person who does drink at social gatherings, try not drinking once and watch the rest of the people get drunk and do stupid things. Very entertaining.
